Problem

The problem with Wendre’s warehouses was that there were too many goods with nowhere to store them. This led to shopping around for ways to make better use of the space available. To this end, the Baltic Warehouse Master was approached to find solutions.

For Wendres, accurate costing and sticking to agreements was essential when planning stockouts. Due to the specific nature of the products, many non-standard shelving units have gone into storage or it has been necessary to rebuild old shelving units. These are all jobs that other storage providers are not prepared to do. It takes too much time and effort. However, these works havesaved the customer significant money.

Solution

To find the best solution, the warehouse was inspected on site. Each Wendre warehouse has had product-specific problems. The first step was to assess the current situation. Then, working together, different solutions were considered. The solutions were presented on drawings of Wendre’s premises, on which visions of the new warehouse layout were drawn. The blueprints helped us to decide how to move forward.

Ultimately, the client’s ideas were refined so that the result exceeded the client’s initial expectations. The solutions created helped to store more goods in the available space. So the initial problem was effectively solved.

Hit

For the new warehouse, the main expectation was to be able to accommodate as much goods as possible. Wendre products are sold seasonally. This means that in the first half of the year the maximum amount of goods must be stored and in the second half of the year the maximum amount of goods must be dispatched. This is the aspect where we benefited the most – we can store as much as possible in the space available.

As a result, Wendre did not have to use the external warehouse to the same extent as before. This is especially good in a situation where it is very difficult to find warehouse space outside your own buildings in the Pärnu region. This solution was therefore very helpful for Wendre!

Customer feedback:

Wendre AS manufactures mattresses and blankets. I organise transport and warehousing for the company. We have worked with Baltic Warehouse Masters on projects in all of our warehouses in Estonia, located in Tallinn, Vändra and Pärnu. In the course of various projects, we have stored mattresses, blankets, beds, mattresses and other special products.

One of the strengths of the Baltic Sea Master is that it is very responsive. All communication is instant and responses come quickly. Silver speaks up when problems arise and helps find a solution. We are very happy with his solutions.

Recommendation! Before planning a warehouse, all the steps should be thought through. Thedetails become the most important and reworking is very costly. In our experience, you have to think several times before you make a decision – that’s the best way to get the best result. The best way to find a lawn furniture installer is to find someone who thinks along with you and helps you find the best solutions – you don’t have all the answers yourself. Baltic Warehousing is a company that deals with warehousing on a daily basis. That’s where the knowledge comes from, and it’s very useful.
